Car Crash Set were influenced by the pioneers of the genre (you know Suicide, DAF, ABBA), and became pioneers themselves, releasing a bunch of singles and one album.  Scarred, from an NZ comp called Unexplored, features the kind of snapping bass guitar and tense, upper register vocals you used to hear all the time in the mid-80s.
